What does Leasing a beat mean?
When you lease a beat you are basically paying a small fee to license that beat for a limited use. You do not own that beat but you have the right to use it for certain purposes. The beat will still be available for others to lease unless you buy an 'exclusive' license. Click here to see exactly what you can do with a lease license. Back to the top
What does the Exclusive license allow me to do?
When you purchase an exclusive license from Beat Lease you essentially take over full ownership of that beat. Copyright is transferred to you and all usage restrictions are lifted. This allows you to use the beat in any way you see fit. You will be given a signed 'transfer of ownership' agreement when your order has been checked and accepted. The beat will no longer be available for our customers to lease. Stems (multi-track audio masters) will also be provided in WAVE format. Back to the top
How long are your beats?
They range in length from 1 minute to 4 minutes. You can easily edit the files to whatever length you need using Sound Forge or any other wave editor. There are many free wave editors available, just do a quick search and you'll find some. Back to the top
Do I have to clear the samples that are part of the beat?
With our beats you don't need to worry about sample clearance. All of the samples used in our beats are 'pre-cleared', this can save you thousands of dollars and stress from costly law suites. How can we do this? Simple, we make our own samples from scratch or pay licensing fees to use those samples. Beatlease.com is owned by Kingpin Studios Inc, the same company that owns www.platinumloops.com and www.siliconbeats.com.

Why should I pay for beats, I want them for free?
If you suffer from a sense of entitlement and do not value the hard work of others, consider this.
Each beat that we offer took many years of hard work and dedication to create. We had to learn our craft, invest time and money and face hardships to get to this stage. If you want something of value you have to earn it or pay for it.
That is why all of our beats are protected with a digital watermark that the human ear cannot detect. This protects our hard work against abuse from unscrupulous audio thieves and allows us to prepare a watertight legal case against abusers. Don't get caught stealing, if you can afford a computer and an internet connection, you can afford our beats. Back to the top
